Running Fends Off Illness
Does running slow the aging clock?

Regular running appears to reduce the risk not only of heart disease, butalso delay cancer and other illnesses, according to a study that began tracking people over the age of 50 back in 1984. People who ran an average of about four hours a week when the study started were compared with a control group of healthy people who weren't regular runners. After 21 years of follow-up, researchers have found that everyone has more ailments, but the onset of such problems began later for the runners.
